My sister recommended this to me, and I've only met one other woman who has actually seen it - what can I say, an epic romance with Juliette Binoche and Oliver Martinez. It's goregous.

This beautiful film is such a study in the power of words, the seduction of power, and finding ones way back to oneself. I need to see it again, it's been many years.

Do yourself a favor and see this version of Jane Austen's last and perhaps best novel - I agree with the critic who stated the newest version had leads who lacked chemistry. This older version is beautiful and earthy and marvelously cast, perhaps the most marvelous story of a second chance ever told.

I love this classic, a dear friend turned me onto it and I am forever grateful.

As much as I love the long Colin Firth version of "Pride and Prejudice" (and I do) this has become my favorite - the director has done a brilliant job of showing the humanity in everyone including Mrs. Bennet, and Kiera Knightly was born to play Elizabeth Bennet, she just was.

Karen Allen at her most adorable, and Thierry Lhermitte is such a charming rogue who doesn't realize he's met his match until it's almost too late.
